This will be a one hour presentation on “An update in pulmonary alveolar proteinosis”. The presentation will focus on what is new in pathogenesis,including the various pathways involved such as GM-CSF related, environmental and occupational exposure related and other secondary forms of PAP. It will also discuss the systematic diagnostic approach and propose a an algorithmic approach to treatment considerations in PAP. The session will include high quality images of the pathogenesis, videos of the whole lung lavage procedure and schematics, and also self -explanatory tables and flowcharts that will help the learner consolidate their basic understanding of PAP.
