Pneumothorax in pregnancy is rare, but can be life-threatening to both the patient and the fetus. Only fifty-six cases of pregnancy-associated pneumothorax, with the smallest proportion of these occurring during the second trimester. The following case details the presentation and course of a young, 14-week-pregnant female without known pre-existing lung disease who was diagnosed and treated for a primary spontaneous pneumothorax.
