Indroduction: Chronic respiratory diseases, such as bronchiectasis (BQT), often lead to progressive damage to the health and may cause daily limitations in patients. Due to the increase of this cases, it is truly necessary to improve the knowledge about a quality of life related to health (QLRH), so it may contribute positively to the pacients care. The EQ-5D-3L is a simple questionnaire of quick application, which can be used in more than one time interval. It is composed of five areas: mobility, self-care, daily activities, pain or discomfort and anxiety or depression. It establishes 243 health states including a visual analogue scale (EQ-EAV) and a thermometer, which describes a value of worse (zero) to the best (100) state of health of the patient. To analyze the quality of life of patients with bronchiectasis through descriptive system EQ-5D-3L and EAV. Method: Longitudinal study of several cases of non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis in patients with 18 year old or more. The diagnosis was confirmed by the radiological examination of the chest and high resolution computed tomography (HRCT). All the patients have answered the questionnaire before the consult. Results: A total of 122 patients were included, of whom 87 were female. The composition of the health status showed no change in none of the domains, in a small part of the patients (3.28%). The lowest value evaluated was 0.11730 and the maximum value was 1, without perception of disease. The mean was 0.5428 ± 0.1811.The health status of 28.69% of the sample (35 patients), with assessment ≤ 0.408, present aggravations in all domains. In relation to EAV, the mean was 64.55 ± 21.12 points. Conclusion:The study showed that there was a significant loss of quality of life, causing daily limitations in the lives of bronchiectasis patients.
