Location: POINT LOMA
Session Type: Sunrise Seminar

Description

Sepsis kills adults and children across the globe, but definitions and management guidelines are based almost entirely on data from high-income countries (HICs). The intent of this session is to present the definitions and management guidelines for sepsis for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and HICs, with an emphasis on the data behind current recommendations. We will emphasize trials in both LMIC and HIC settings for both adults and children, with analysis of methods and outcomes.
