This session will review the common comorbidities and complications that arise in patients following lung transplantation, including both pulmonary and non-pulmonary disorders. Strategies designed to optimize post-transplant outcomes will be examined in an evidence-based manner, and approaches to evaluating these patients in the hospital and outpatient setting will be discussed. Finally, post-transplant outcomes, including determinants of morbidity and survival, will be summarized.
