Description

Pulmonary embolism response Team (PERT) is a multidisciplinary team participating and coordinating care in the patient’s presenting with acute pulmonary embolism. It brings in the expertise from various clinical specialties in real-time and allowing decision-making process. The session will describe how to create a pulmonary embolism response team in an academic and community settings. It will also address the challenges faced and will identify the key players in development of PE response team. It will further delineate the role of PERT in managing the complex, high risk sub massive PE patients with examples of real cases.
