The advent of stem cell in lung disease pathophysiology and therapeutic has been a point of accelerated interest over the past couple of years. The session will provide insight into the types of stem cells applications that are being development and the diverse set of pulmonary diseases which may benefit from the interventions. The talks will cover stem cells from their potential role in disease, corrective technologies, regenerative applications as well as medicinal therapeutic approaches. With the advent cellular based therapeutics, the symposium will also introduce the concept of streamlining stem cell production and issues of stem cell tourism.
