This workshop will provide participants with the tools to design the next best clinical trial in sleep apnea. The workshop will begin with a brief synopsis of the limitations of previously published trials (i.e. SAVE trial) and its major focus will be to discuss strategies for designing robust future clinical trials in sleep apnea. These strategies will include: novel clinical trial design application; choosing the right study endpoint(s); applying lessons learnt from other pulmonary disease trials (such as from COPD and Cystic Fibrosis) to improve CPAP adherence; CPAP dosing and interpretation in clinical trials.
