Event

The aim of this session is to discuss a practical, evidence-based, systematic approach to evaluate and manage children with severe asthma. Important steps in this process (such as ruling out other potential etiologies, identifying comorbidities, assessing the patient’s medication adherence, determining the underlying inflammatory pattern, and evaluating the degree of steroid responsiveness) will be reviewed. In addition, we will discuss recently approved therapeutic agents for this disease and those under investigation.
