The primary objective of this brief presentation is to increase HCP understanding of Type 2 inflammation and how it contributes to airway pathology in asthma. Evidence supporting roles for Type 2 cytokines in epithelial and airway smooth muscle pathology including remodeling, fibrosis, mucus production and airway hyper-responsiveness will be discussed.
