Description

This is a free patient/family event open to the general public. There will be an expert panel speaking on the topic of living well and lung health. The panel includes expert speakers from the University of California San Diego, Mount Sinai, as well as Brigham and Women’s. The experts will speak on topics such as pulmonary rehabilitation, integrative medicine, lung health and intimacy, oxygen therapy, sleep management, and mental wellness as it relates to lung health. There will also be a number of breakout sessions where attendees will be able to mix and mingle with expert pulmonologists representing COPD, scleroderma, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, sarcoidosis, and rare lung diseases such as primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD), nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), , lung cancer, LAM/Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome, and Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Patients will be able to informally discuss the latest in research, clinical trials and clinical care with these experts. There will be an oxygen refill station for those patients with portable oxygen needs.
